The main objective of this discussion meeting is to
ascertain scientific exchange between experts who have contributed or will
participate in the further development and application of Coherent Raman Scattering
(CRS) and of related nonlinear optical microscopies beyond current levels of
detection sensitivity, spatial resolution, and information content. The
conference highlights frontier research in different areas of optical physics
and coherent Raman spectroscopy, ranging from nonlinear optics, optical
microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, femtosecond pulse shaping and coherent
control schemes. Furthermore, microCARS2012 seeks to stimulate innovative,
interdisciplinary and broad scientific collaborations in the application of
CRS microscopy in the material and life sciences.
The conference is kindly supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft
and will be jointly organized with the EU-COST Action MP1102 workshop “Chemical imaging by Coherent Raman microscopy – microCoR”. Attendance is free of charge (no
conference fee) for members of academic institutions, including meals,
refreshments and conference materials. Attendees from commercial
organizations are welcomed, and should contact the organizers. |
