Victoria is a photonics enthusiast, currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Stuttgart. Since 2022, she has been part of the Max Planck School of Photonics, an umbrella organization that supports the broad involvement of Master's and PhD students in German research in the fields of optics and photonics. Her research focuses on the photonic integration of solid-state stationary qubits (namely diamond color centers) for creating quantum networks. In her work, she models and fabricates photonic devices, which enhance light-matter interaction and facilitate robust entanglement generation between stationary and flying qubits. By advancing the designs of these devices and improving the quality of solid-state emitters, they enhance the quantum node and bring it closer to integration into a larger network. As part of a larger team, she works towards the future of quantum communications.
